Scope It is necessary to clarify the generating process of large intraplate earthquakes, in order to develop the method that forecasts the occurrence of large intraplate earthquakes based on their physics. In this session, we will investigate the generating process of large intraplate earthquakes by integrating various methods of geophysics and geology. In addition, activities of intraplate earthquakes have been changed after the occurrence of the 2011 Mw9.0 Tohoku-oki earthquake in eastern Japan. We welcome investigations about the activity changes of intraplate earthquakes affected by the Mw9.0 earthquake.
Notes Several speakers applied to oral/poster presentations are assigned to poster presentations due to limit of presentation time of this session. These speakers as well as volunteers in poster presenters have 3 min. talk to introduce their posters. Please prepare materials for the 3 min. talk.
