Scope
|
A rural area has been more often regarded as a space with other functions such as leisure and relaxation, cultural and educational values, and environmental conservation, in addition to a place to grow food. This situation is defined as the commodification of rural spaces. This session will discuss the process and features of the commodification of the rural spaces in Japan.
