Scope The purpose is comprehensive understanding of high strain rate zone in Japan. The origin of high strain rate zone, relationship between the geological structure and seismogenic fault system, construction of fault model, evaluation of earthquake potential, and other problems are discussed. We welcome papers relevant to studies by observation, modeling, simulation, and multidisciplinary approaches.
