Scope Recent progress of the ice core studies has revealed global and local environmental changes on a scale of several to several hundred thousand years. We will discuss the global and local environmental changes on the basis of the ice core studies. Studies on deep-sea cores, tree-rings and numerical calculations with similar time scales and/or areas with ice core studies are welcomed.
