Scope Active faults are the sources of the severest and rarest earthquake hazards. Because the devastating disasters are mostly due to higher level of human activities, broad spectra of engineering, physical, social and human scienses are required for effective and feasible coutermeasures. This session gives more weight to the latter aspect and invites broader communities for open discussions.
