Scope We have made great progress in the astrophysical observation of protoplanetary disk, in laboratory simulation experiments, and in the analyses of meteoritic material, IDPs and samples returned from a comet and solar wind. We discuss the nature of protoplanetary dusts, dynamical evolution, and problems that obscure our understanding of dust origin, composition and evolution in such systems
