Scope Many of top sciences in Earth and planetary science are progressed by big projects. A considerable fraction of them is carried out as national projects such as earthquake observation network and environmental observations, and others are more or less related to the national projects. In the union session, the details of individual projects will be introduced and we will discuss how we should organize the projects in order to carry out top sciences and how we should be related to national projects.
