Scope
|
On 15 February 2013, an asteroid of about 17 m in diameter entered the Earth's atmosphere and exploded above Chelyabinsk Oblast, the southern Ural region in Russia. Shock wave hit the ground, and about 1,500 people were injured. In this session, we call for papers on the studies of this event, such as observation, data analysis, and numerical simulation, as well as general reviews of asteroid impact to the Earth, its probability, and consequence.
