Scope Fluxes of energy, water, CO2 and some other materials have been measured over various terrestrial ecosystems by ecological, hydrological, meteorological and biogeochemical communities typically using the eddy covariance technique. JapanFlux is a network of researchers who are involved in flux-related studies, such as flux measurement by the eddy covariance and chamber techniques, ecological modeling, watershed hydrology, remote sensing etc. JapanFlux has contributed to understand the role of terrestrial ecosystems in water and carbon cycles, especially in East Asia. This session, which succeeds a session (A-HW28) in 2013, calls for a broad range of flux-related presentations on the role of terrestrial ecosystems in water and material cycles.
