Paleoclimate and paleoceanography
Scope
This session treats the topics from various paleosciences related to the 10 -100,000,000 year-scale variability of climate-ocean systems. We encourage you to submit your studies on the terrestrial climate, paleoceanography, and the linkage/interaction between them. Discussion will be focused on the dating and the reconstruction of past environmental changes using paleoarchives such as marine/lacustrine sediments, soil, stalagmites, corals, and fossil records, which will be compared with the temporal variations of the fundamental boundary conditions such as solar activity, Milankovitch cycle, atmospheric composition, sea level-ice volume changes, tectonics etc.
